In this blog, I wanted to share a recipe for some Rosemary and Sea Salt Sweet Potato Fries I made the other night. I don’t know about you, but I really like sweet potatoes. I never ate them much growing up, but I did eat my share of potatoes. Sweet potatoes are similar to potatoes in shape and texture, but definitely do have a sweetness about them. Like potatoes, sweet potatoes contain vitamin C, vitamin B and calcium. Sweet potatoes are also rich in fiber and iron, which is especially important for those who have an iron deficiency. Give it a try if you are looking for a healthy side dish or snack. It is super simple to make and only contains 5 ingredients.

Rosemary And Sea Salt Sweet Potato Fries

  • 1 tbsp Rosemary, fresh cut
  • 1 Sweet potato, large
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika, smoked
  • 1 tsp Sea salt
  • 3 tbsp Olive oil

Directions

Cut the sweet potato into long fry shaped pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl. Add the paprika, sea salt, rosemary and olive oil. (Feel free to add any other spices you like such as pepper or garlic.) Using a large spoon, mix all the ingredients together until the potatoes are well coated.

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Spread the fries evenly on a large baking sheet and place in the oven. Bake for 20 minutes and then flip to crisp up the other side. Bake for an additional 20 minutes or until the fries are golden. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.

Note: You can also use an air-fryer to make these fries, which is what I did this time. I got an air-fryer for Christmas, so I’ve been experimenting. I still coated the fries with the olive oil and seasonings, but used a zip-lock bag to coat and then shake them up and then dropped them in my fryer for 25 minutes at 360 degrees. They are great this way too!

Enjoy!
