Health Benefits Of Lemon Essential
Oil

Boosts Immune System

Lemon essential oil is a universal oil and many people enjoy its health benefits. Like whole lemons, lemon essential oil is loaded with vitamin C, which is beneficial in the treatment of colds and flu and helps build immunity. Lemon essential oil also helps stimulate the production of red and white blood cells and helps increase blood circulation. Since lemon essential oil is high in vitamin C, it may also aid iron absorption. One way I helped get my energy up in the morning when my iron stores were super low was to add a drop of lemon essential oil to my morning glass of water. It helped clear my head and get rid of my brain fog. Additionally, it helped ease some of the fatigue and memory issues I was having. Although some sources say not to take any essential oils internally, others disagree.
Note: If you choose to add a drop of lemon oil to your water, make sure you are using a therapeutic grade and one marked as a dietary or vitality supplement.

Helps Relieve Stress

Lemon essential oil may also help ease stress and fight fatigue. The scent of lemon oil is uplifting and promotes positive energy and helps boost your mood. Lemon essential oil also has calming affects, so it may help ease fatigue, anxiety, irritability and tension. In fact, inhaling lemon oil helps increase concentration and may make your feel more alert. To experience a quick mood boost, you can smell the scent directly from the bottle. You can also diffuse lemon essential oil to experience more of its uplifting citrus scent.

Helps Aid Digestion

Studies show that lemon essential oil may help relieve some digestive issues including: indigestion, constipation, acidity, stomach upset and gastritis. Some people find relief from stomach problems by rubbing a drop or two of lemon essential oil on their stomach. Make sure you use a carrier oil such as coconut oil, almond oil or jojoba oil to help dilute the lemon oil and avoid any skin irritation.

Lemon oil may help with weight loss. That’s because it contains
