When it comes to being healthy, there is more to it than just eating healthful foods. We also need to feed our mind, body and spirit, which satisfies our hunger for life. In fact, Joshua Rosenthal, author and Founder and Director of the Institute
for Integrative Nutrition, “tells us, that there are two types of foods that feed us—primary foods, and secondary foods. Primary foods include “relationships, physical activity, career, and spirituality. Secondary foods are the foods we take into our body.¹
While it is important to eat healthy foods such as plenty of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts, seeds, meat, and healthy fats, to fuel our bodies, it is also important that we feed our bodies with plenty of primary foods as they promote well being and help us function healthfully in all aspects of our life.
It is my goal to spread healthful information and articles that feed the mind, body and spirit.
